- Advise clients on any coverage, billing, and claims questions as it pertains to their insurance program
- Prepare, complete, and submit applications to insurance carriers; develop proposals and provide technical support in coordination with Producer(s)/Agent(s)
- Responsible for follow-up with carriers and clients on various insurance program needs
- Review policies, endorsements and all documentation for accuracy and quality standards
- Assist clients with coverage changes, certificate requests, binders, and endorsements
- Responsible for existing client account review and renewal process including client contacts, remarketing, proposals, and any correspondence.
- Actively seek referrals from current clients and utilizes Applied Epic System to generate new business or cross sell new lines of coverage.
- Manage non-renewals and cancellation requests to retain business where appropriate
- Update policy changes on clients’ accounts in our system and advise insurance companies of these changes.
- Consult with clients to help process quotes and issue renewals or any updates needed to current policies
- Gather all documentation needed from the client for reporting a claim to the insurance company
- Meet regularly with agents and staff to keep up with industry standards, insurance products/coverages, and carrier changes.
- Work closely with insurance company underwriters, sales representatives, and account executives.
- Pre-qualify and analyzes prospective business clients according to agency standards.
- Negotiate with insurance carriers to obtain competitive rates for clients
- Active Property and Casualty insurance license in Texas or willing to get licensed in 90 days
- Strong customer service focus with a professional attitude and approach to business
- Must have very strong follow up, written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Must have the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced team environment
- Insurance experience as an account manager or insurance agent is preferred but will provide training as needed
- Experience in a sales or service organization preferred.
- Knowledge of Applied Epic system is recommended but will provide training as needed
- Candidates should have basic computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.)
- Associates or bachelor’s degree recommended or insurance industry experience
- High School diploma required.
