The Commercial Lines Account Manager at The Dana Company is responsible for working directly with Sr. Commercial Lines Account Managers and Producers to maintain solid customer relationships by handling daily inquiries and transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide service to existing clients by processing account transactions along with the related documentation.
  • Enter applications and process certificates, ID cards, endorsements, cancellations, and audits in a timely manner.
  • Assist with gathering client information or paperwork and assist with proposals and new policy check in as requested.
  • Gather information and prepare preliminary comparisons for renewals.
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
 
Qualifications
  • Hold the Commercial Lines insurance license required by your state.  
  • A minimum of one to two years commercial lines insurance account management experience as well as a Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively assist with the work for assigned clients and prospects.
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner; display strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent math and reading skills to perform calculations.
  • Possess a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills, and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve complex problems without direct supervision.
  • Have excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset as well as technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems, rating tools, and carrier website navigation.
  • Can be remote, but must be based in Iowa. 
 

Flexible work from home options available.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
