Responsibilities
- Personal Lines Account Managers are responsible working together with clients, producers, and insurance carrier personnel to process and manage all account--related transactions.
- Daily tasks include processing renewals, billings, cancellations and reinstatements in a timely manner.
- Personal Lines Account Managers effectively and professionally handle all other client inquiries and requests. Seek assistance from the Senior Personal Lines Account Managers or Personal Lines Lead when appropriate.
- Follow Personal Lines policies and procedures when completing work tasks.
- Offer suggestions for improvements to policies and procedures as appropriate.
- Complete special projects or other tasks as requested.
- Hold a Personal Lines insurance license required by your state and have a minimum of two years personal lines insurance account management experience or comparable work experience.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects.
- Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner; display strong written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent math and reading skills to perform calculations.
- Possess a sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills, and the ability to handle difficult situations with customers and solve complex problems without direct supervision.
- Have excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset as well as technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems, rating tools, and carrier website navigation. Experience with Applied EPIC is a plus.
- Can be partially remote, but must be based in Iowa.
